Your opinion
Opinion is like salt. You need some to bring out the flavor, but too much ruins the whole dish.

More than enough salt
Does it ever seem like there is never quite the right amount of opinion? Here’s what I mean: you tell someone that your tooth hurts and they’ll tell you that their dentist is the best; you should go to him too. Thanks, I already made an appointment over here with this other guy. Later, you ask a different friend, an entrepreneur what he thinks of your business plan and he gives a vague answer or no answer at all.
Here is the deal: if I ask for your opinion, it’s because I think of you as an expert. I’m not looking for the “right” answer, but I do value what you have to say on the matter.
On the other hand, if you give advice or share your opinion without being asked, it’s up to you to make sure you don’t spoil the dish.
