Sausalito Tsunami
Tell you the truth, I didn’t think we’d see any effects of the tsunami inside the Golden Gate, but I was wrong. Just when it looked like it would be a non-event, at approximately 9AM, water began receding from the Sausalito shoreline. By 9:20, water levels had dropped just under five feet, and several sailboats anchored in Richardson’s Bay were resting in the mud or heeled over. Just as quickly, currents reversed direction and by 9:40 everyone was floating again, with several derelict vessles under tow. Some sought shelter in local marinas, but the swift current made docking difficult. A second, slightly smaller surge moved through from 10AM to 10:20.
Either Way is comfortably birthed and well tied.
Sugar wasn’t impressed by any of it.
